The Solar-Powered Logitech Keyboard Lasts Months Without Charging

Logitech just launched their Signature Slim Solar+ K980 and the business variant of it. This keyboard uses Logi LightCharge technology, which allows it to be powered by any light, with no cables or charging required.

The Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is slim, minimalist, and has a laptop-style keyboard with a full-size layout. It will work across PCs, tablets, and mobile devices with multi-OS compatibility. The Easy-Switch keys allow you to toggle between up to three devices. All of this makes the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 have a clean design for modern work setups.

The key features of the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 are that it stays charged indefinitely under light; up to 4 months in complete darkness, a built-in rechargeable battery rated for up to 10 years, comfortable scissor-switch keys, an AI launch key, customizable shortcuts via Logi Options+, multi-device support, and Logitech Flow integration.

The business & IT version of the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is a bit different, with a Logi Bolt receiver for more secure connectivity, can be monitored with Logitech Sync for IT management, has more customizable keys with productivity shortcuts, and is designed for scalability in enterprise environments.

Solar charging is not the only sustainable thing on this keyboard. The Graphite version uses 70% post-consumer recycled plastic, and all the keyboards have durable batteries that reduce waste by eliminating replacements. All of this helps Logitech get to its sustainability principles.

The universal multi-OS version of the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is priced at $99.99, the macOS-specific version is $99.99 and available in North America only, and lastly, the Business variant is available at $109.99. You can buy all of the versions right now at Logitech.com and from resellers.
