DJI Shrinks Action Cameras with the Ultra-Light Osmo Nano
DJI just launched their Osmo Nano, and it is a totally new action camera that is lightweight. It focuses on a hand-free design and pro-level image quality with its 1/1.3" sensor with 13.5 stops of dynamic range.
Design
The design of this camera is pretty good. The weight of it is 52 grams, it has a dual-sided magnetic mount system, is waterproof up to 32 feet, is splash resistant with the dock, and is designed to be mounted on hats, helmets, lanyards, and even pets!




Imaging Performance
This small camera packs a punch in image and video quality with the ability to record in 4K 60fps and 4K 120fps slow motion, a 143° ultra-wide field of view, and support for 10-bit and D-Log M, which makes for some cool cinematic visuals. There’s also RockSteady 3.0 with HorizonBlancing for great stabilization.
Multifunctional Vision Dock
This camera is two parts, and the base, called the Visoon Dock, is multifunctional. Working as a controller, charger, and file transfer hub. The Vision Dock can also recharge to 80% in just 20 minutes, supports up to 600 MB transfer speeds, and has an OLED HD touchscreen for remote monitoring.
Audio & Shooting Features
The Osmo Nano uses dual microphones for stereo audio and can connect directly to DJI mics through OsmoAudio™ for an amazing sound quality. The Osmo Nano also has multiple shooting modes like gesture control, auto recording, pre-recording, SuperNight mode for nighttime, and the ability to switch between vertical and horizontal recording.
Pricing
You can buy the Osmo Nano right now at the DJI online store or retail partners at a starting price of $305 for 64GB of storage, and the starting price of the 128GB version is $335.
The Osmo Nano is positioned as a compact, versatile camera. It competes in the wearable and POV camera space, and is made for vloggers, sports, and creators.
