The Meta Ray-Ban Display Put an AI and Screen in Your Shades
Announced at Meta Connect 2025 by Mark Zuckerberg, the Meta Ray-Ban Display might be Meta’s most advanced AI glasses yet. They include a new full-color, high resolution display, and an all new Meta Neural Band.
Display features
The display is side-mounted, and to save on battery will not always be on, only for quick and short interaction. Directly on the display you can have it show messages, translations, maps, AI help, music info, and more. It is private and minimal, so it does’t block your view.
Meta Neural Band
The EMG wristband translates your subtle muscle signals into commands, which enables you to scroll, pinch, swipe, and even write in the future. It works right now out of the box for most people and will give people control if they have limited movement. All of this took years to build, and finally it’s here for real!
Use Cases & Features
Some ways that you can use the display and wristband are:
AI with visuals, step by step directions, and answer with graphics
Messaging and video calls with services like Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp integration
Preview and zoom, for better camera framing with a real-time display viewfinder
Navigation, visual turn by turn directions
Live captions and translation in real time
Music control with the swipe and pinch gestures to play skip, or adjust volume
Design
All the models come with Transitions® lenses, and have frame colors of Black and Sand. It has 6 hours of mixed-use battery life, and up to 30hours with the portable and collapsible case.
The Neural Band is made with Vectran material and is durable, water resistant, and has up to 18 hours of battery life.
Availability & Price
You will be able to get the whole set including the glasses and Neural band for $799. The US launch is September 30th at BestBuy, LensCrafters, Sunglasses Hut, and Ray-Ban stores. They will be expanding to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK in early 2026.
