Apple’s New Series Watch Brings More Health Features and Longer Battery Life
Apple just announced the Apple Watch Series 11, that is focussed on health, durability, and staying connected. It is not a full redesign, but it is a great upgrade!
Health Features
The biggest health feature is the ability for the Series 11 to detect hypertension and notify you, which is fancy wording for, it can give you alerts if you have high blood pressure.
Another great health feature is Sleep Score. It will break your sleep quality into easy-to-read data, so you can understand how well you slept. All of this is Apple pushing the watch to be more like a daily health companion.
Battery Life and Durability
For the first time in a Series model, the battery will last up to 24 hours, which is a little better than before. With fast charging it can also get 8 hours of use in just 15 minutes.
For durability the Watch has new Ion-X glass on aluminum models that is 2x more scratch resistant, and the Titanium models still gets the sapphire for even better toughness.
Connectivity
You will now be able to use 5G cellular directly on the Watch. Which gives it faster download speeds and better reception. This new feature will allow you too feel fine with leaving your phone at home.
Design
Even though last years Series 10 got a lot thiner, the Series 111 all got thiner this year, which is supposed to help with comfort. The sizes that it comes in are 42mm and 46mm options. It comes in finishes of jet black, rose gold, silver, space gray and in titanium natural, gold, and slate.
There are some new watch faces, Flow and Exactograph. The bands also come in new colors, and there is also some new Hermès options.







Sustainability
To help Apple reach its carbon neutral goal, the Series 11 is overall made with 40% recycled materials like, a 100% recycled cobalt in the battery and it being manufactured with renewable energy.
Price
The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $399, and is available for pre-orders today. It will start shipping on September 19th and will be rolling out with WatchOS 26.
