What Apple Fitness+’s Big Something Is and Was

Have you ever heard of Quitter’s Day? Well, it is a day that many New Year's resolutions are said to fail. The day is the second Friday of January, and now Apple is aiming to change that narrative with some new Apple Watch and Fitness+ features. Last year and this year, Apple even ran ads about the whole Quitter's Day, and how the Apple Watch can help people be more motivated to do different exercises.

Apple studied data from 100,00 participants showing Apple Watch user activity significantly increased in January and maintained that level through March. There is even a challenge this New Year, with a limited edition award, and the first-ever Quit Quitting challenge that is happening in partnership with Strava, which all make consumers more motivated to keep on going in their fitness journey.

Apple added four new programs to the Fitness+ library: Make Your Fitness Comeback, Build a Yoga Habit, Back-to-Back Strength and HIIT, and Strength Basics. The goal of these programs is to help remove the guesswork from fitness by providing 10-to-20-minute daily plans that build in intensity over time.

Apple Fitness+ will also be getting a new Aristit Spotlight Series from high-energy workout playlists by stars like KAROL G and a special Super Bowl LX Halftime Show series with Bad Bunny. Time to Walk will also feature new guests like Mel B, Penn Badgley, and Michelle Monaghan.

These new plans and episodes will be rolling out in the coming weeks, but remember, Apple Fitness+ is a subscription service that costs $9.99 a month. But I think it is worth it, because I use it a lot!

Do you think that all these features will make people more motivated to exercise more often? What musician would you next want to see in an Artist Spotlight? What do you think their Super Bowl LX series will be? Let us know in the comments!
