The Clicks Communicator: The Return of the Blackberry

Have you ever missed having an actual tactile keyboard on your phone? Well, now Clicks Communicator wants to fix that with a phone that has a tactile keyboard connected to it, but also oen that can still function as a modern phone.

The idea was born on St. Patrick’s Day, with the device codenamed Clover, which marks the company Click Technology’s transition from accessory maker to hardware manufacturer. They partnered with Joseph Hofer, the designer of the infamous BlackBerry, ensuring that they got the perfect form factor that feels just right in the hand. The product is meant to not just be like the past BlackBerry than the past, but actually a purpose-built tool that is designed to go beyond the BlackBerry for modern productivity.

The front of the Clicks Communitactos has a sleek 4.04” AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 24MP hole-punch camera. All of this makes the front very professional or business-like. The keyboard was designed for optimal thumb angles, and there is also touch-sensitive scrolling across the keys and an infrared sensor hidden in the space bar, which makes this phone even cooler! Also, the screen aligns with the buttons’ height, which allows users to more seamlessly switch between the screen and the physical keyboard.

As I said, the front is more professional and business-like, then of course, the back needs to be a party, just like a mullet. The back of the Clicks communication allows users to personalize it, while it can also be very useful. It has interchangeable back covers, including a very vibrant Clover green, and the 4000mAh silicon-carbon battery is designed for maximum power while still allowing the phone to be slim. There is also a 50MP main camera with OIS, housed in a module that looks like the Clicks logo.

On the phone, there is an indicator called Signal, and it is a customizable LED on the side of the phone that is visible whether the device is face up or face down. The Prompt Key is a dedicated physical button on the right that acts like a platform for voice dictation, and finally there is also a physical toggle on the left side of the phone that instantly silences all sounds and notifications.

The phone runs a custom Niagara Launcher on Android 16 with support for Android 17 and 18 when they come out, and five years of security patches, so a little shorter update time.

The phone will launch with an MSRP of $499, with it available in Smoke, Clover, and Onyx color options. But, there is also an early deal that makes the phone available for $399 for those who reserve it before February 27, 2026.

Do you miss the physical click of typing keys on phones, or have you already gotten used to screen typing? Do you think all the features on the phone and its $499 MSRP price make it a great deal? Let us know in the comments!
