The Bic Cristal Pen That is 5.8 feet Long and Lights up

Debuting at Maison&Objet 2026 in Paris, France, the Bic Lamp is a collaboration between Seletti and the designer Mario Paroli. It’s not the normal type of light you would not think much of, but rather a 12:1 scale celebration of the iconic Bic Cristal pen, which is celebrating its 75th birthday with over 100 billion units sold since 1950!

The original ball-point pen was said to be inspired by watching marbles roll through a puddle, and Mario Paroli uses the same low-tech design with polycarbonate and LED fiaments to replace the ink in the tube with a warm glow.

The Lamp is 5.8 feet long and features the signature cap and matching power cord in Ink Black, Primary Red, and Classic Blue. Also, if you look closely, you can find the Bic logo etched into the hexagonal barrel.

The supersized pen/lamp is expected to retail for about $350 and is expected to hit U.S. retailers later in 2026.

Do you think you would like having a massive pen light as a lamp? What color option would you get? What do you think of this lamp? Let us know in the comments!
