The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Turns Your Phone Into a Pocket Tablet
Samsung has made a lot of phones that you can fold and flip, but none of them have unfolded to the size of a tablet, so now they have made one that does, and called it the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold. This is only the second tri-fold that a major company has said will release to the public, and Samsung says that they have spent years teasing prototypes and concept designs.
The phone folds inward twice to reveal a 10-inch AMOLED display, which is basically a small tablet that can fit into a pocket. It has an ultra-thin profile of about 3.9 mm when opened, two different hinge sizes, a titanium hinge housing, strengthened internal display layers, and a minimized crease, which all make this phone more durable and better than I thought it would be.

Like most new Samsungs, the Galaxy Z TriFold is AI-powered and also has some very good specs, including the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 200 MP camera, up to 1 TB of storage, and a 5,600 mAh three-cell battery. This phone/tablet is definitely focused on productivity users, especially with its 10-inch screen that can be used to run three apps side-by-side like a mini laptop! With Samsung’s DeX support for a desktop-style workspace and Galaxy AI features for photo editing, browsing, and multitasking, this phone is great for many productive people, as well as normal users.

The everyday advantages of this phone are that it can become a tablet for games, videos, and documents. Also how this phone is a pocket-sized cinematic device with a 120 Hz display with high brightness, all great for streaming. Foldables are also not for everyone, but this Tri-fold shows where mobile design is heading, combining portability with workstation-level productivity.
Samsung plans to release the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 12, 2025, in South Korea, with a U.S planned launch for the first quarter of 2026. The price in Korea will be KRW 3,590,400, which is about $2,500 for the 512GB storage option. There is also a six-month Google AI Pro trial, a repair discount, storage options, and color options.
