Redmagic Launches Gaming Phone With Active Liquid Cooling
Redmaic has unveiled its newest gaming phone, the Redmagic 11 Pro, which recently launched in China. The standout feature on the gaming phone is the active liquid cooling system, a first for a commercially available smartphone. This is different from the normal vapor chamber found in most modern devices. The ceramic micro-pump that circulates the coolant through the phone also has a cool design with a translucent ring to show the system in action.

The liquid cooling system matters because it could make for more consistent performance during long gaming sessions. This approach has been seen before in a OnePlus concept device in 2023. Redmagi’cs design focuses on performance aesthetics. Allowing gamers to see the cooling system at work adds to the phone‘s unique identity.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, has a 144Hz display, 120W wired charging, haptic shoulder buttons for gaming, and a huge 8,000mAh battery.
The phone is currently only available in China, with a global launch announcement expected on November 3rd. This device continues Redmagic’s tradition of pushing gaming performance technologically forward. This could set a new trend if liquid cooling proves reliable and effective in everyday use.
