Nano Banana Arrives in More Google Apps
Google’s AI image editing model, Nano Banana, from Gemini 2.5 Flash, has been having a great success since its release in August, with over 5 billion images generated through the Gemini app. With all of that, Google is now expanding Nano Banana to Google Search and NotebookLM, with Photos integration coming soon.
In Google Search, users will now be able to use Lens to take or upload a photo and transform it instantly, using the new Create mode. In NotenookLM Nano Banana enhances Video Overviews with six new visual styles, like watercolor and anime. The new Brief format now makes for faster summaries and contextual illustrations drawn from users’ own sources. These updates make Google’s creative tools more visual and integrated.
Nano Bana’s next stop will be Google Photos. The rollout will happen in the weeks ahead, bringing the same service and editing tools to personal photo collections. With Gemini 2.5 Flash, Google is blending everyday creativity and AI assistance across its ecosystem.
What do you think about the fun name, Nano Banana? Have you, or do you want to use the new features? What AI do you use, if you do use AI? Let us know in the comments!
