Meta has competition
With smart glasses as the hot new tech product, many companies are trying their own version. Today HTC Vive announced their own smart glasses, the Vive Eagles. They have many features like the Meta Ray-Bans and Oakley smart glasses, with built in speakers, a camera, and an ai voice assistant.
The ai in these is pretty impressive. It can put names to faces, tell you restaurant recommendations, translate text in 13 languages, write lists, tag parking locations, and log it all in the memory bank for access anytime.
Other specs are, a 4.5 hours of battery-life when listening to music and 36 in standby, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, that in the ads looks pretty good, lenses made by the iconic brand ZEISS, for great sun protection, and lastly it comes in the colors black, brown, gray, and an amazing red.
They cost $510, but you can only get it in Taiwan right now. Hopefully it will come to North America and Europe. If they do, they will be a pretty serious competitor, to other smart glasses.
