Google Made A Smart Speaker Made For Gemini

Google annocued a new smart speaker called the Google Home Speaker. It is the first audio device built specifically for Gemini and is framed as a leap forward in natural and intelligent interaction in the home. Gemini is meant to make this speaker fast, smarter, and more of a conversational assistant.

The design is highlighted with a custom processing that is optimized for Gemini’s advanced AI. When Gemini is either listening, reasoning, or responding, a new light ring will light up at the bottom. There are also touch controls for volume and interaction. It will be available in four color options: Porcelain, Hazel, Jade, and Berry.

The audio experience on the new Speaker is upgraded with 360-degree balanced sound, giving a uniform audio experience across a room. Stereo pairing with another Google Home Speaker and integration with Google TV make for home theater surround sound capabilities. The Google Home Speaker also supports multi-room audio with other Nest and Home speakers.

The Google Home Speaker is also privacy-focused with a built-in microphone mute toggle. It is also sustainable, with it being built with recycled materials and a new 3D-knit yarn cover that reduces waste.

The Google Home Speaker will cost $99.99 and will launch in Spring 2026 in multiple regions. Gmemini for Home will also be coming to existing speakers and displays via early access in late October.
