Apple Doubles Down on AI and Performance in The New iPad Pro

Apple just unveiled the new iPad Pro, which is powered by the all-new M5 chip. It gets improvement in AI, performance, and design. This is basically one of the biggest leaps in iPad Pro performance yet.

The new M5 Chip key upgrades are the 10-core GPU with Neural Accelerator in each core. This makes the new iPad Pro 3.5x faster at AI features such as image generation and video masking than M4 and up to 5.6x faster than the M1. It also gets Foundation Models and Apple Intelligence integration.

The M5 chip also allows the new iPad Pro to have faster rendering, graphics, a nd video editing speeds. It has 6.7x faster 3D rendering in Octane X and 6x faster video transcoding in Final Cut Pro. It targeted active users, multitasking pros, and developers.

The new iPad Pro also gets connectivity upgrades with the new C1X modem, allowing it to have 50% faster cellular speeds, and the N1 chip enables Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity. It also gets better hotspot, AirDrop, and global 5G use. All of this makes for more efficient power usage and makes the iPad Pro great for remote or travel work.

The thickness of the iPad Pro is still 5.1 mm for the 13-inch, which is still impressive, making it actually thinner than the iPhone Air. It has an Ultra Retina XDR display with tandem OLED, with a Nano-texture glass option for less glare. It also gets super for up to 120Hz refresh rate.

This iPad Pro is one of the first to come out of the box with the new iPadOS 26 operating system, which has a new windowing system, menu bar, and redesigned Files app, to name a few of the new features. There are also Bakcotunf Tasks and improved multitasking. Apple Intelligence adds translation, shortcuts, and reminders. It makes the iPad feel closer to laptop-level productivity.

Pricing for the new iPad Pro starts at $999 for he 11-inch model and $1,299 for the 13-inch model, with extra accessories you can buy like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil or Apple Pencil Pro.
