Toyota’s 2026 Sienna Adds More Features, But Keeps It Family Focus
The 2026 Toyota Sienna is a refined version of last year’s model that focuses on value and convenience, not a full redesign. The van has been a top choice for families since 1998, known for its space, hybrid powertrain, and safety features. The update brings new stuff like more standard features, color options, and audio upgrades across trims.
The newly added features by trim are:
LE: now gets an 8-speaker audio system, power rear liftgate, auto-dimming mirrors, and rear window shade, which all come standard
XLE: adds black roof rails and an optional JBL sound system
XSE: upgrades to a 12-speaker JBL audio setup with an amp and subwoofer
Woodland Edition: gets a new Ice Cap color, while Heavy Metal paint expands into more trims
The Sienna remains a hybrid-only vehicle, powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder Hybrid system, making for 245 hp. The fuel efficiency ratings are 39 MPG for the FWD version and 35 MPG for the AWD, which is surprisingly not a huge difference. The drive modes also make those numbers vary with ones like ECO, Normal, Sport, and EV. The Toyota hybrid system continues to balance efficiency and reliability, a key part of the Sienna’s appeal.
There are also family-focused upgrades, like an available FridgeBox, Vacuum, and spacious interior with high-end materials. The Toyota Audio Multimedia system now offers an 8-inch or 12.3-inch display, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and an optional Wi-Fi hotspot. There is also a 12-speaker JBL Premium Audio System for audiophiles and Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, which brings features like Lane Tracing Assist and Pre-Collision Detection.
The 2026 Sienna stays true to what makes it so successful: comfort, hybrid efficiency, and safety, with added features for better everyday use. The pricing for the van starts around $40,120, and models will start arriving at dealers in January 2026.
Do you think Toyota added enough new features for 2026? Would you pick the Sienna over an SUV with similar pricing? Is Toyota right to keep the Sienna hybrid-only, or should they bring back the gas option? Let us know in the comments!
