Samsung Drops the Edge and Brings Back the Plus
Many rumors have claimed the S26 Plus was cancelled for the thinner Edge model, but now leaks from OnLeaks via Android Headlines show the Edge is gone and the Plus is back for early 2026. The new renders show the S26 Plus with a familiar design and a new camera island below the three lenses, not the full-width one from the Edge. It has a cool, warm orange color that is similar to Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Cosmic Orange color. This could be Samsung’s way of entering into a bolder color style, like the iPhone.

We think that the S26 lineup has shifted from what we expected: an Ultra, Edge, and Pro to the more traditional one: Ultra, Plus, and a regular model. We expect the S26 Plus will have a thickness of 7.35mm, which is similar to the S25 Plus. Samsung might be turning away from the thin phone trend, while still keeping the Slim codename around for a possible later release. They are now playing it safe after a year of shifting plans, which might mean more stability in their flagship lineup.
Do you think the actual phone will have an orange color option like the renders? If this phone came out, would you get it? Let us know in the comments!
