Spotify messages
Users of Spotify will soon be able to share music, podcasts, and audiobook recommendations, directly on the app. This feature will be rolling out to some markets this week, according to Spotify’s press release, and will only be available on mobile devices for users age 16 and older. Another great thing is it will be available to Free and Premium users.
To access it tap the share icon while listening to a song, podcast, or audiobook, and select a friend to share it with. You can share and message with someone you share a plan with, or users you’ve interacted with through, Blends, Jams and Collaborated Playlists.

You can choose to accept or reject message requests, block others, or just opt out of messages. To ensure a secure sharing experience, the conversations are protected with industry leading encryption, says Spotify.
Spotify says that Messages was created to “complement” how content is shared on social media apps like TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, and others, rather than replacing them.
We don’t know if artists will be able to use this, to interact with fans, but if it does, then that would be amazing. Will you be using this feature soon?
