Google Is Adding a Feature That Will Allow You To Try On Shoes While Online
Google has recently been developing software features that help you find clothes you like better, and they have just released a new feature that uses AI, allowing you to “try on” shoes such as sneakers, heels, or sandals. The feature has its own “Try it on” button, and it works while browsing online.
It works by users uploading a full-length photo of themselves, and then Google’s AI will automatically replace the socks or shoes that you're wearing in the photo, with the ones they want to try on. You don’t even need photos with your feet in them, because the AI generation works with what you’re wearing. This feature also tries to give the most realistic preview of how each pair will look on you.
Google has recently been rolling out features that allow you to try on clothes like shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, and much more. They launched those in May of this year, and Google will now be expanding this new feature and the older ones to Australia, Canada, and Japan soon. All of this is a part of Google’s plan to push AI-driven shopping tools.
All these new features could change the way people shop online, and may even make for fewer returns and more confident purchases of clothes and shoes. This move could also inspire other retailers to follow Google’s lead in the future.
Will you use this new feature the next time you are shopping online? Do you think more companies will start introducing features like this one? Let us know in the comments!
