Learning
I would like to start a series that I publish every Saturday for certain apps or other products that are my favorite in their categories. This Saturday it will be learning.
My favorite app for learning, is probably what your thinking, Duolingo. I feel like Duolingo has changed my life. I have learned to speak a language better, get better at piano and chess, and type better! Let me break this down.
First, so how I learned about Duolingo is my mom was learning a language on it, and I thought it was interesting, so I downloaded it, and 1480 days later I’m still learning.
They’ve added many features over the years and my favorites are music and chess. When they added Duolingo Music I was so exited, and now I know how to read notes, and play piano a little now! I have had a fun journey to get to Duolingo chess. So it stared with one of my cousins teaching me, which lighted a fire in me to get good at it. Since we didn’t live near them, I could play with anyone else, so I didn’t get good at it until about 6 months late with Duolingo Chess. Yes, I know I could’ve used a chess app, but I didn’t think about that until now. So back to the story. A funny thing is that my sister must be a beta tester for Duolingo, because she got it before me, and I had to wait 2 weeks to get it! When I got it I used it a lot, and now I’ve surpassed an ELO of 1,000!
Lastly, how did I get better at typing? Well, when I started I didn’t know how to type well, but after a while by typing sentences in lessons, I got better. Now I'm typing this easily without even thinking of how I'm typing.
Runner up
The runner up for learning is Elevate! This is an app to sharpen your skills in many fields. I love how beautiful every lesson looks, and it feels like someone took time to design it. Elevate leveled up my knowledge and calculating speed!
You should definitely try both of these apps is you interested!
