Drink Tracker

When I discovered that there were apps that would track how much water and other liquids you had that day, I wanted to download one immediately. That led me to the amazing Waterllama liquid tracker.

In the past I was not good at keeping up with how much water I drank, and would often have headaches and dizziness. After using Waterllama for a while I got better at how much water I drank every day.

One great feature is how it’s not just a water tracker—it can track juice, soda, smoothies, and any other drink you want. How can you add any drink? Because you can make your own drink with custom drink icons, how hydrating it is, its caffeine level, and much more.

The app is like a game, with a goal to fill your animal, person, or object full of water (or another drink) to finish your daily goal.

If you’re into challenges, they have multiple challenges that will give you a task to drink something or avoid drinking something that day. If you complete a challenge you get a new animal for other days.

Every day they will suggest some short articles to read that include hydration tips to help you feel better, be more productive, or get rid of an illness before you get it.

One feature that helps me get to my goal is widgets, which are a great way to remind yourself to drink some more liquid.

If you have an Apple Watch, there is a Waterllama app for that too. It is a great way to keep track of your goal, even if you don’t have your phone with you.

The app will also integrate with Apple Health, so you can see how much caffeine you drink and how much water you drink.

Waterllama is a great app, and I would suggest it to people who have trouble keeping up with their hydration, or want to gamify their hydration goals. One point that I didn’t mention earlier is that some features—like all the beverages, widgets, and all the animals and others to fill up—are premium features that cost about $3.99 monthly and $6.99 for lifetime.
